Data collection and forms

SchoolSpeak forms can be used for a variety of ways:

- Online application: Prospective families can submit application online.
- Submit school forms online: For example, medical and emergency contact forms.
- Data collection: For example collect demographics data from families, or fundraising orders.
- Extend the user profile: For example, add fields to enter parent work information.
 
School can create electronic forms to capture any data from the community. Once the data is entered, users can sign electronically and submit online or print the paper form for manual submission.
 
SchoolSpeak can generate electronic or paper forms in the exact format that you require. In the generated paper forms, SchoolSpeak can put a marker indicating where the submitter should put the signature and date. Forms data can be extracted to a file and later imported into a spreadsheet or a database.
 
SchoolSpeak also supports public forms. You can create forms for use by visitors to your site, not just school users. For example, admission forms or auction ticket ordering. If the form requires large data entry, for example admission form, you can let the visitors set up their user name and password so that they can save the form and complete in multiple sessions. These visitors won’t have access to your SchoolSpeak account.
 
SchoolSpeak forms let you
- Easily create forms by selecting easy to use fields such as name, address, telephone, text box, and drop down list.
- Fine tune each field – for example, make first name and last name mandatory, and don’t request middle name.
- Split large forms into multiple pages.
- Provide a detailed instruction for filling form. Instructions can be accessed any time.
- Restrict who can submit forms and how many times they can submit.
- Users input data online, review, make corrections, submits and print. All forms can be printed while submitting or even later.
- Users can save and resume data entry later.
- SchoolSpeak can mandate fields and check for errors while submission.
- You can set the due date for submission.
- After forms are submitted, you can lock the form or let users make changes. For example, update the contact information if the family moves.
- User and administrator can get email notification when the form is submitted.
- If the form can be edited after submission, SchoolSpeak keeps track of all changes made. Users can revert all the changes made after last submission in a single click. When a form is updated, SchoolSpeak can notify the administrator by email highlighting the exact changes the user made.
- Administrator can monitor the submission.
