End of Year Enrollment Day Counts
The best time to verify the student enrollment days is now, before the end of the year. SchoolSpeak has a number of great reports that can be used to determine the counts. Here are some hints to make the process easy!

One of Support's favorite reports to use when checking the number of days a student has been in school is the Attendance Permanent Record Report. ADMIN >>User Reports >> Attendance Permanent Record
   - Choose the grade level and you will see a graphical depiction that looks like mini calendars
   - Scroll to the bottom of the student page and you will see a number of boxes including total enrollment days
*Remember total days present is not the same as the number of enrollment
*The goal of this exercise it to hopefully see the same number total enrollment days from grade to grade.
*This excludes students that have were welcomed to your school after the beginning of the school year.

If you do not see the same number of enrollment days from grade to grade, it may be time to take a closer look at the attendance data and possibly clean up attendance. For example, if the enrollment day count is too high in a class, a teacher may taken attendance on a day school was not in session. If the enrollment day amount is too low, then it is likely that attendance was not taken every day.

This is an area that will be covered during our report card and end of year reporting webinar.

Who sent the email?
Every so often an admin will submit a case in which parents are receiving emails "sent" by a person no longer at the school. How is this possible? The answer may surprise you with how simple it is. When an email is sent via SchoolSpeak, it usually has a default email address such as admin@yourschool.com but it looks to the parent that it is being sent by the principal. Some email applications may save that sender's name with the default email address you use when sending out SchoolSpeak emails. For example, Mrs. Smith was the principal of the school and she used SchoolSpeak to send emails. The email application may have saved Mrs. Smith's name with the default email address.

So how can this be fixed? Super easily! Ask the parent to delete the saved contact's record in their email.
