2026-2027 Priority Continuous Enrollment for Current Families | Thu, Jan 8-Fri, Jan 16

Dear St. Catherine of Siena Catholic School Families,

I hope this message finds you and your family enjoying a happy, healthy, and blessed New Year. As we begin this new year together, we remain grateful for the trust you place in St. Catherine of Siena Catholic School and for the partnership we share in nurturing your children academically, spiritually, and socially.

I am writing to share an important update regarding enrollment at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic School. Beginning with the 2026–2027 school year, we will implement a Continuous Enrollment model for students in kindergarten through 8th grade. This new approach is designed to better support our current families, simplify the re-enrollment process, and allow our school community to plan more effectively for the future.

Required Enrollment Forms (these forms are have been sent home in the Thursday folders 1/8/26)

For the 2026–2027 school year only, families will be required to complete two forms by Friday, January 16, 2026:

Moving forward, in subsequent school years, families will only be required to complete the Annual Catholic Parish Affiliation Form each year, further simplifying the enrollment process.

What is Continuous Enrollment?

Under this model, all currently enrolled students will automatically be considered re-enrolled for the 2026–2027 school year and for each subsequent year, unless one of the following occurs:

  • A family completes a Withdrawal/Opt-Out Form, or
  • The student or family is required to withdraw at the administration’s request for a specific reason.

Families who plan not to return for the upcoming school year will be required to submit the Withdrawal/Opt-Out Form by the stated deadline.

Annual Commitment Fee

A $350 annual commitment fee per student is required for all returning students. This fee is due by January 16, 2026.

  • Payments received after January 16, 2026, will incur a $400 per student commitment fee.
  • This fee is considered part of tuition and is factored into the total annual tuition; it does not reduce the overall tuition amount.

Tuition Adjustment

We understand that any tuition increase can be challenging for families, especially in today’s economic climate. Please know that this decision was made thoughtfully and with great care. Our intention is never to place an undue financial burden on our families; however, this increase is necessary to ensure the long-term strength and sustainability of our school.

The tuition adjustment for the 2026–2027 school year reflects rising operational costs, including increases in utilities, instructional resources, and other essential expenses required to maintain a safe and effective learning environment. A significant portion of this increase will directly support competitive teacher salaries, helping us retain and attract high-quality educators. In addition, the increase will allow for ongoing upgrades to curriculum and instructional support materials, ensuring our students continue to receive a rigorous, faith-filled education aligned with best practices.

We are grateful that the North Carolina Opportunity Scholarship continues to provide meaningful tuition assistance to many families. We strongly encourage eligible families to apply, as this program helps make a Catholic education at St. Catherine of Siena more accessible and affordable. Our hope is that, with the support of this scholarship, the tuition adjustment will not be a hardship for families in need while still allowing the school to responsibly meet its financial obligations.

Tuition Rates for the 2026–2027 School Year

  • Catholic Tuition Rate / St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Parish Rate: $8,130 per student
  • Full Tuition Rate: $8,630 per student
  • Multiple Student Discount (K–8): -$300 per additional child
  • Prepay Tuition in Full Discount: 2% discount when tuition is paid in full by May 1 or within 10 business days of enrollment
