Bloomington Living Hope Lutheran (BLH) School Tuition Payment Policy

We are blessed when parents partner with us to provide a Christian education for their children. Because there is a cost to educate each child who enrolls, Bloomington Living Hope (BLH) works with parents to cover this cost to educate. The BLH church congregation covers a portion of the cost to educate. Parents are expected to pay the remaining portion of tuition. The following policy informs parents of their tuition payment responsibilities as they enroll their child at BLH.

Families who enroll their child(ren) at BLH are expected to make tuition payments as agreed upon at registration.

Tuition Payment options are the following:

  • Payment in Full (August)

  • 9 monthly payments by cash or check (August-April)

  • 11 monthly payments by Credit Card or automatic withdrawal (August-June).

BLH is willing to work with families in special circumstances. This policy enables student(s) to continue their Christian education as the parents meet their responsibility. This policy applies to all families, whether members of BLH or non-members.

  1. For a family who falls behind two or more months in tuition payments:

    1. The family needs to meet with the Principal and a School Board representative in person by the designated date to discuss their situation.

    2. An agreement must be made on a payment plan to pay tuition in order for their child(ren) to continue education at BLH.

    3. If the family does not respond and fails to meet with the Principal and a School Board representative, the Board of Education will decide whether the child(ren)'s enrollment and education may continue at BLH.

  2. For a family who does not pay their tuition in full by June 30th:

    1. The Board of Education will review their case and determine whether their child(ren) are eligible to enroll for the following school year.

    2. An email communication will be sent out to families who are not paid in full on May 31st.

      1. Families that are current and auto-pay where payments are coming out at the beginning of June will be excluded.

      2. This allows families the ability to reach out to the school to discuss their situation with the Principal and a School Board representative

  3. If special circumstances occur at any time, families are encouraged to contact the Principal and a School Board representative to discuss the situation and tuition payments.

    1. i.e. loss of job, unanticipated health costs, etc.

Note: A student or family whose general attitude and/or conduct demonstrate an unwillingness to collaborate with and follow the Christian principles governing BLH may be dismissed from enrollment upon action by the Board of Education and/or principal.

Parents / caregivers can apply for financial aid using the TADS online application form that is linked to the school website. TADS assists BLH in determining family needs based on confidential financial information. After completing the TADS process, parents / caregivers may follow-up with the principal to discuss financial needs.

WITHHOLDING STUDENT RECORDS

By enrolling their children in BLH, parents/caregivers agree to payment of all current and past-due tuition and fees prior to the school’s releasing of academic records. An exception is that in the best interests of a child, BLH will always release a student’s special education and health records upon request.
