School Mass Choir Information & Permission Slip
 
Those who sing pray twice! We are excited to open the school mass choir sign-up to all students in grades 3rd through 8th. This is a yearlong commitment. Students will rehearse each Tuesday from 2:30 – 3:30 pm and sing at all school masses throughout the year.

Please complete, sign, and return the permission slip below by Monday, August 28. Students must have a permission slip to participate. Students must also be delegated in PikMyKid to go to choir on Tuesdays.

Rehearsals

When : Tuesday from 2:30 – 3:30 pm

First rehearsal : Tuesday, August 29th

Where : Church Choir Loft

Dismissal from school using PikMyKid  procedure:

  1. Log-in to your PikMyKid app
  2. Edit your child’s pick-up calendar
  3. Select After School Programs
  4. Click Assign next to Choir Rehearsal – this must be done by 2:15 pm each Tuesday . 
              >If someone else will be picking up your child after choir, you MUST assign them in PikMyKid with the first name, last name and cell phone number. 
              >If you child is going to soccer after choir, you MUST assign them to first name: Soccer, last name Team, phone number 1111111111. A parent volunteer from soccer will escort the students from choir to soccer. 

Pick up after choir:

  1. At 3:30 pm parents should meet their child at the church side door.
  2. Using PikMyKid, announce your child.
  3. The director or parent volunteer will dismiss using PikMyKid. Bring your car tag with you.
  4. Students will only be released to a parent/guardian unless the parent/guardian has assigned someone else in PikMyKid
  5. Students who are will not be allowed to walk out of the church themselves unless they are designated walkers.

mass days

Parents/guardians, please follow the listed procedures for choir members mass day drop off:

When: Drop off by 7:45 am

Frist Friday School Mass for Choir : Friday, September 8 at 8:30 am

Where : Church side door – students are to walk through the door, the parent volunteer will check in the student, students are to walk up the stairs to the choir loft, leaving their backpacks in the hallway.

Additional information : Siblings may not be dropped off with the choir members. For safety reasons, siblings should be dropped off in the morning carline.

WASHINGTON, DC TRIP

PUERI CANTORES YOUTH CHORAL FESTIVAL & MASS (open to grades 4-12)

Save the Date: Saturday, April 20, 2024

The St. Catherine Children’s Choir will take part in a youth choral festival and Mass at the beautiful Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington DC on the said date. Although it’s only open officially for 4th-12th graders, the new incoming 3rd grade choristers may participate in the prelude singing before the Mass. More information to come!
