Financial Aid Options | Preschool - 8th Grade | All Applications Now Open!!

#1 North Carolina Opportunity Scholarship -  Administered through the State of North Carolina (Kindergarten - 8th Grade/All Families Eligible) 

The NC Opportunity Scholarship (OS) expands school choice for students in kindergarten through 8th grade by providing from $3,000 to up to $7,213 per year toward tuition for eligible students who choose to attend a participating nonpublic school such as St. Catherine of Siena Catholic School. This program is open to ALL families, regardless of zip code or income, for the 2024-2025 school year.

February 1, 2024 

Application opens.

Families who apply early will receive a higher priority in the lottery process.

All families are encouraged to apply. Each year additional funds will be available and if your family is in the system, there is more of a chance to be awarded tuition funds.

March 1, 2024 

Application deadline to receive priority consideration.

Families who apply after March 1 will be considered on a first come, first served basis.

#2 St. Catherine of Siena Scholarship - Administered through St. Catherine of Siena Parish & School using FACTS Grant & Aid Assistance (Kindergarten - 8th Grade/Financial Based Awards) 

St. Catherine of Siena Parish is committed to helping families obtain financial assistance to ensure that financial needs do not prevent a desiring family from attending St. Catherine’s. FACTS Grant and Aid program is used to help determine if a student may qualify for tuition assistance from the parish. Applicants must be St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Parish members.

Important dates:

January  1, 2024 

Application opens.

March 15, 2024 

Application deadline.

Award Notification 

After NC Opportunity Scholarship awards are announcement, mid to late April.

Families applying for discounts or aid through FACTS are required to apply for the NC Opportunity Scholarship.

#3 African American & Native American Ancestry Tuition Assistance Program - Administered through Diocese of Raleigh (Preschool - 8th Grade) 

Catholic school students (Pre-K - 12th grade) of African American and Native American Ancestry in the Diocese of Raleigh are eligible to apply for tuition assistance. The assistance awards come from funds granted to the diocese from the Black and Indian Mission Office founded by the Catholic bishops of the United States. It is no longer required that families complete a FACTS tuition application for this scholarship, and preschool students are eligible to apply. A separate application must be completed for each student. Tuition awards are sent from the diocese to the applicant's school.

Award Notification 

Decision letters will be mailed to parents no later than May 24, 2024.
